The main research lines :

  • Linear algebra (2 co-workers)
           - Total Least Squares, errors-in-variables, lower rank matrix approximation,
           - SVD, ICA, CCA, displacement rank, tensors
  • Biomedical data processing (15 co-workers)
    Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy, functional MR imaging, neonatal and (inter)ictal EEG, ERP, ECG, Near-Infrared spectroscopy, EMG, cancer diagnosis, polysomnography, cardiovascular dynamics, data fusion

 

What to offer to the other NEUROMATH partners :

  •  Expertise in data driven approaches:
          - Canonical correlation analysis (removal of muscle artifacts in EEG)
          - Tensor decompositions (e.g. PARAFAC, Tucker, …) applied to EEG
          - Independent component analysis (removal of eye blink artifacts in EEG)
  • Expertise in source localization with EEG
  • Expertise in neonatal EEG
          - Seizure detection, localization and analysis
          - Burst detection and analysis
  • Help apply these methods in new areas



What we are looking for from the other NEUROMATH partners :

  •  Database to perform benchmarking of algorithms
          - BCG and gradient artifacts in simultaneous EEG-fMRI
          - Neonatal and epileptic seizures
  • New application areas for algorithms:
          - Canonical Correlation Analysis
          - Tensor-based decomposition algorithms
  • Sharing know-how about integrated EEG-fMRI measurements and analysis
