Bart VANRUMSTE
Bart Vanrumste was born in 1971. He
received his master degree in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical
Engineering both at Ghent University (Belgium). In 2001 he obtained
his Ph.D. with title: “EEG dipole source localization in realistic head models”
also at Ghent University. He worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the
Electrical & Computer Engineering Department of the University Of
Canterbury, New Zealand from 2002-2004. Currently he is associated
docent at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT-SCD) at
K.U.Leuven, Belgium and docent of Digital Image and Signal Processing
at the University College KHK in Geel (Belgium). His research interests
are biomedical signal and image processing. Currently his research
interests are EEG-fMRI integration, activity monitoring with
accelerometers and pain detection from facial images. He is vic-chair
of the IEEE EMBS Benelux Chapter and member of the International
Society for Bioelectromagnetism.
